Kohls

The word is Hernando County should have a Kohl’s in October. The shopping center is planned for the insection at Spring Hill Dr. and the Suncaost Parkway.

Other tenants expected are a bank, a restuarant, and a book store.

New Shopping Mall in Brooksville

A shopping mall has been approved by the County Commissioners for Brooksville. The location is set for the intersection of Yonyz Road and U.S. 98.

Weeki Wachee Springs

It looks as though Weeki Wachee Springs will become a state park.

For many years the springs have provided unique entertainment to people from around the world. Officials at Weeki Wachee have agreed to hand the attraction over to the state to become a state park.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District have to give their approval before the agreement is finalized, they own the land the attraction sits on. They could have a decision as soon as Tuesday.

Wii at the Rehabilitation Center

Evergreen Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center has a Wii for the residents. Mary Coots a resident at Evergreen Woods said “I love our Wii. I bowl from my wheelchair, at 82 it gets me moving and its fun!”

What a great way to get some exercise!

Save money - Lower your Thermostat

Progress Energy recommends that you set your temperature at 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 60 to 65 at night. Lowering your thermostat at night and when you leave your house can reduce your electric bill. Every degree above 70 costs an additional 7 percent to 10 percent.

The cold weather has arrived, the temperature is dropping into the mid to low 20’s tonight in Hernando and Citrus counties. Cover those plants and don’t forget about your family pets, they get cold too.
